Join us at Saber Springs Meadery in Escondido (78-Nordahl) for some tabletop fantasy role-playing! We’re using the Shadowdark RPG system—it’s beginner-friendly and uses a real-time torch mechanic.
When: Arrive at 5:30 PM; play starts at 6:00 PM.
Provided: Dice, Rules, Character sheets, or Pre-generated characters for a quick start.

What is Shadowdark RPG
Intuitive & Fast: It boils d20 mechanics down to their essentials, removing bloat to keep the focus on the story and the action.
Real-Time Tension: The game uses a one-hour real-time sand timer for torches. When the timer runs out, your light is gone—adding a palpable sense of dread and urgency to every session.
Strategic Gameplay: Rather than just "hitting things," every scenario is treated as a puzzle to decrypt. Players must use their wits to survive and master their environment.
Fluid Initiative: The initiative system is quick and easy to manage, maintaining a high-energy pace while keeping the constant threat of danger around every corner.
