What are you hoping to find here? New friends? New players? To join a new group? To learn how to play? Meet others who still use their imagination?

I'm here to make friends and have good, clean nerd fun. So if you have some bizarre grudge against white guys who like musical theatre, please take it elsewhere. I don't want trouble and I don't want drama.

Favorite sci-fi/fantasy movie/TV show/book? Favorite sci'fi/fantasy character?

The Deus Ex video game series is my favorite sci-fi setting, with Fallout a close second. Fantasy: Eberron D&D campaign setting, followed closely by Nirn from the Elder Scrolls series. Fave character is probably Geralt, from the Witcher series of books/games.

Do you DM? If so, do you write your own adventures or use modules? Do you follow the rules as written, or do you "go with the flow"?

Yes, I DM 4e! I like to use pre-built modules and tailor them to the PCs and player preferences. So if they decide "this guy must be evil, we'll kill him first!" then he will have been evil ALL ALONG and just pretending to help the characters. Story is important, but fun is more important.

Do you have a favorite setting for adventures (pirates, dungeons, space ships, chicken coops, haunted houses)? How long have you been playing? What edition do you prefer? Do you prefer hack 'n slash? Intricate stories? Riddles? Mysteries? Quests?

Setting can be anything (right now I only know how to play D&D and Dungeon World), but political intrigue, grand conspiracy, and elaborate webs of secrets and lies appeal to me. When accompanied by violence, that is. Slaughtering orcs comes first!

Weirdest character name you've run across (or used)? Weirdest choice for a familiar?

Nothing special yet.
