[1-shot] The Witch Trials

Welcome to Westwater, where the town is teeming with excitement over the witch trials. Do you have what it takes to investigate this case and brings the witches to justice? Careful, a wrong mistake here could result in an innocent person being tried for a crime they didn’t commit… and a curse on to your soul.

Background: Early one morning you stumble into Westwater, a small town that is holding a witch trial after some children began acting strangely. Three women have been accused of being witches. However the town is split about their guilt and so decide it’s best to allow the party to be impartial judges. The party must render its verdict at dusk with any guilty party being hanged until death. Do you have what it takes to find the witch?

Prep: please create a level 5 character. If you need help to make a character, I’m more than happy to help. All classes/races are okay and if you have any questions please let me know.

(Note for those wanting to make a flying character: flying characters will have the same movement availability as those walking but flying will be more of a cinematic attribute)

What do I need to bring ?
- Your character sheet printed or a digital version of it (tablet, D&D Beyond etc)
- Something to note your theories
- If you don't have dice your DM can lend you some
- Your best role play efforts!
- Be prepared to purchase food and/or drink. As this event is happening at a private buisness, please respect their rules and not bring any outside food or drink to consume, and be prepared to purchase something.

Please join ONLY if you have already attended one of our own intro to D&D session OR if you have already played D&D before. This event is open to beginners but is not an intro to D&D and you will have to know how to play, your DM will be able to help you with specific rules if needed during the session.
