The 2022 Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project

Actors, Writers, Directors, Filmmakers, Creatives, and Enthusiasts... grab your friends and see if you can make a short film in just 48 hours and even if you can't you are guaranteed to have the best 48 hours you've ever had.

The 48 Hour Film Project is open to filmmakers of all levels from beginners to professionals. It is an excellent opportunity for actors to finally get that speaking role they have working so hard for. For writers to get their words on screen, for that new director to be in charge of a set.

Hundreds of filmmakers have gone from the 48 Hour Film Project to working regularly in the industry, you could be next!

Beginning on May 13th filmmakers are assigned at random a film genre, a prop, character, and line of dialogue. Then they have just 48 hours to shoot a complete short film that can be no shorter than 4 minutes and no longer than 7 minutes (we give you an additional minute for credits).

All submitted films will be premiered on the big screen in a local theater. Films submitted on time will be eligible for awards and to go on to our international competition Filmapalooza and Cannes Film Festival.
