Drone CI x Docker Workshop

We are excited to announce 'Getting Started with CI using DroneCI ft. Docker' for the Docker Community!

DevOps has come a long way. But, unfortunately, practising the same old things doesn’t work anymore. With modern cloud-native methodologies and tools, developers have all the power. Current applications require a new approach with their build-and-deploy strategy.

Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) are no longer an option but form the heart of software delivery. According to The State of Application Development in 2022 report published by Docker, Inc., 44% of developers use some form of CI-CD with Docker containers.
Containers solve a majority of everyday developer problems, but when it comes to enterprises and teams, we need to tackle other challenges, e.g. centralised credential management, and managing multiple clusters etc.,In this workshop, you will learn,

1. What is Drone CI?
2. Understanding the basics of Drone CI, writing your first pipeline
3. Using Drone CLI, running Drone CI from your laptops
4. Using Drone CI Extension for Docker Desktop
5. How to use secrets, environment variables with Drone CI
6. Define multi-stage Drone CI pipelines
7. Finally understand how Drone and Harness Platform can help us embark on a successful CI/CD journey from your laptops to any cloud of your choice while taking care of your everyday operational needs by deploying the built container to any cloud using Harness CD (Free Tier)

## Pre-requisites:

- This is a basic to intermediate level workshop, so all the professionals are invited.
- Laptop is mandatory for every member to perform this workshop first-hand.
