Dependent startup/resiliency of micro services, by Ugo Bechameil (Real Impact Analytics)
In a micro-services architecture, some services may be dependent on the availability of others either at startup or runtime. We will talk about some strategies to address this problematic and also some related use cases for the new native health check integrated into Docker 1.12.
About Ugo: Ugo is a Software Developer working on building and operating data analytics pipelines and a Docker advocate at RealImpactAnalytics. He is heavily interested in Open source technologies, especially distributed applications and frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Beam.
Performance monitoring for Docker environments, by Stijn Polfliet (CoScale)
Part 1 - Anomaly detection
Practical data examples and introduction to some of the statistical techniques to do anomaly detection.
Part 2 - How to monitor Docker environments
Introduction to monitoring Docker environments followed by a live demo of a real Kubernetes/Docker environment.
About Stijn: Stijn Polfliet is the CEO of CoScale, a provider of web performance analytics software. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Ghent University in Belgium, after which he co-founded CoScale. His interests focus on web application technologies and performance aspects."
