The first hour will be a reception with food and beverages, followed by two to three 30-45 minute talks as we have time.

If you are interested in talking about Docker, its use, or any challenges you may have solved, please reach out and let us know! We'll be coalescing everyone's inputs and updating this page!

First Talk: Using Docker Multistage Builds to Optimize Workflows
Synopsis: Following a brief introduction to multistage builds, Ben will cover why you should probably be using them everywhere. This talk will focus on specific examples and success stories across multiple programming languages.

Disciplines: everything from speeding up CI pipelines to cross-compiling binaries is in scope!

Second Talk: Kubernetes Cluster Security through Validating and Mutating Admission Webhooks
Synopsis: This talk will discuss some of the security technologies present in vanilla Kubernetes clusters, their use cases and some of their pitfalls. Following that, Justin will provide a brief discussion and demo about correcting some of these security concerns through the use of Validating and Mutating Admission Webhooks.

Disciplines: Kubernetes Fundamentals and API, Docker, Container/Host Security
