Technology group ‘Docker-Donegal’ are very excited to host its second meetup event – Docker-Dojo session.

Meetup Summary - This Meetup ‘Docker-Dojo, Where Ninjas are born’ is a hands-on session where we invite you to bring along your own laptop and join in the container fun. The Docker-Donegal team have put together an open-source containerized devops tool stack with a hello world application to experiment with. Come along and learn how to build, test and deploy your first containerized app.

If you are a newbie to docker there are a few prerequisites we ask:

Speaker/Mentor Bio:
Romero has been working for CINQ Technologies (Brazil) for over 2 years as a Java Engineer. During this time, he has been allocated to work with SITA, Letterkenny. He has over 13 years IT experience with a background in Java, Web and Micro-Services, as well as DevOps tools and Infrastructure as Code. Romero is currently working with Micro-Services and faces all kinds of challenges to getting a large-scale application under correct shape for orchestration based on Docker. Romero sees the future of Micro-Services pretty much dependent on how the DevOps community and tools evolve in the very near future.
