Join the Docker and EMC {code} teams for a free training at Web Summit introduces you to the Docker platform and takes you through installing, integrating, and running it in your working environment.

We’ll explain why Docker exists and why you should care about it. We'll be looking at the latest and greatest from the Docker platform, including storage and networking.

Hands-on exercises at the tutorial will include:

• Running your first Docker container

• Building containers with Dockerfiles

• Using Volume Drivers like REX-ray for storage

• Clustering with Docker Swarm and Compose

• Networking with Docker 1.9

• Using Docker for sandboxing and testing

• Deploying applications with Docker

All levels of participation are welcome but basic familiarity with the Linux command line and prior knowledge of Docker fundamentals is strongly encouraged: please review the free training videos at training.docker.com (https://training.docker.com/) before attending the tutorial.

Please bring your own laptop with Docker Toolbox (https://www.docker.com/toolbox) installed.
