Docker Birthday #3 Celebration + Training

Join us in celebrating the Docker Project’s 3rd birthday!

To warmly welcome newcomers into our Docker community, we will provide Docker training to show them how they can build, ship, and run a distributed application with ease thanks to the Docker platform.

Are you an advanced user? We strongly encourage Docker users of all skill levels to attend! We need a network of mentors who understand the Docker platform to answer any questions that newcomers may have. Click here (https://community.docker.com/entities/4939/registrations) to sign up as a mentor.

Please RSVP only if you plan to attend the event. This helps us plan catering and swag. We had fantastic RSVP numbers for previous events and poor attendance.

Agenda:

6.00pm - Doors Open

6:15pm - Welcome message, presentation of Docker & snacks

6.30pm - Training begins

7.45pm - Cake and Socializing (really, not pizza this time)

Notes

• Please ensure you sign up with your real firstname and lastname. If you do not you will be asked to do so on arrival which will slow things down. This facilitates our hosts fire and site safety management and allocation of visitors badges.

• If it turns out you cannot attend please do cancel your RSVP. This saves the badge printers some hassle!

• If you have a guest as a +1, ask them to RSVP directly. There's plenty of RSVP space and it saves our site coordinators time. Future events will not support this feature from meetup.com.

• We will have a bring box for you to provide some dried/canned food, at your discretion. Our hosts at Workday partner with the local capuchin homeless centre, they will be delighted to forward whatever you may be able to contribute.
