Meetup #15 @Valtech with guest star Kate Volkova and hack day winners
Details
Hey all,
For the last meetup of the year which will be mostly in English, we will have some awesome guests that we're sure you'll enjoy and at a great venue. This meetup is sponsored by Valtech (http://www.valtech.fr/) for the venue and Google (https://cloud.google.com/) for the food.
1st talk by Kate Volkova (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/kate-volkova/85/831/67b) on Run millions of Docker Сontainers on Google App Engine!
Ekaterina (Kate) Volkova is a Software Engineer working on Google Cloud Platform in San Francisco. She leads container integration for the App Engine SDK.
Abstract: App Engine allows you to run your applications on top of Google's Infrastructure. It provides a fully managed environment, access to the services such as Datastore or Memcache and it really does scale. New addition to our platform called Managed VMs has native Docker Images support built in. This lets you run any Docker container you want. It is now possible to take advantage of the management abilities of our platform without giving up the freedom to use any library or framework you want. Develop and debug locally with Cloud SDK, deploy to production, scale to millions of running containers automatically!
2nd talk by Adrien Folie (https://twitter.com/folie_a) & Thomas Petrachi (https://twitter.com/thmszpy) & Gautan Gueraud (https://twitter.com/exadeci) on Ground.io (http://beta.42grounds.io/)
These guys won the Docker Global hack day in Paris and will be presenting on their awesome project ground.io (https://github.com/grounds/grounds.io) which is a pastebin on steroid where you can share && run code snippets in many language thanks to Docker.
Cheers and see you there!
