Dodgeball San Diego was founded with a mission to foster an environment inclusive of all players -- regardless of skill or orientation. We believe that dodgeball is for all, and seek to ensure access to and promote the sport at both a local and national level.
We're hoping to meet new players, experienced players, those who played years ago, and those who just want to make some new friends while throwing balls at each other! Our open gyms are designed to foster a welcoming community and teach you the game if you've never played before. Winning isn't everything — its about the friends, memories, laughs, smiles, and the community that is formed.
We look forward to seeing you on the court. Whether you've played before and are ready to show off your skills — or its your first time on the court — we've got a spot for you.

Come join us every Wednesday at 7:45pm for an hour of dodging balls and making friends! We'll be playing at Golden Hill K-8 each week. Throughout the season we'll play regular games while also throwing in some mini-tournaments and different styles to keep things fresh. At the end of the season we'll run a small bracket tournament — will your team be crowned champions?
The details you crave:
- Randomly assigned teams. We want you to meet new people and experience playing with others. You're still welcome to sign up with a friend or two and we'll do our best to make sure you're on the same team together!
- No-sting rubber balls. That classic style from when you were a kid.
- Up to an hour of play each week, generally in the form of two 25 minute games.
- Play-style variations mixed in such as 2v2 brackets, 4-court chaos, lose-a-limb, and more!
- Experienced and involved league managers and advisory committee — we're here to make sure things run smoothly and you're having a great time. Plus, we love the sport too.
- Subs: can't make it for some of the weeks? First time subs are always free, after that $10 per week.
