Group Bosque Dog Walk

Let’s get together for a group dog walk in the Bosque by Tingley Beach! There is a small parking g lot at the east side of Kit Carson Park by the ABQ Country Club and west of Triangle Dog Park. Let’s cross the road south and head into the Bosque itself. This is a wonderfulderful desert river forest and is usually not very crowded, although we may meet other walkers with warm weather and the weekend. I am very familiar with the Bosque here and can lead the group to a beachy riverside spot where dogs can romp on sand and in water. After our walk, check out Triangle dog park by the parking lot!

As usual, check in with yoururself to make sure you won’t be triggered by dogs off leash: it will definitely happen and we are all empowered to leave the group walk if you feel anxious. No worries. My general process is to walk Zoe off-leashbut with a leash in-hand. I watch my surroundings, communicate with approaching groups, and generally hold Zoe by the collar if we’re passing people only, and first leash if dogs are approaching unless I get the go-ahead to let her go. Zoe is completely non-reactiveve and gentle but that might not be your dog. We are all most knowledgeable about our own pets ands know how to best walk them to ensure their safety and mental comfort.
