I wanted to post this event for your information. This isn't actually a Meetup event. You register on site, so get there early!
The City of Rio Rancho Parks, Recreation, and Community Services department is excited to mark the final days of summer with the annual Pooch Plunge!
Bring your dog(s) out to Haynes Pool for one last swim before the outdoor pools close for the season. There will also be various animal rescue groups and shelters there trying to find good homes for some loving animals, who are looking for a best friend to go home with. All non-food vendors must be selling pet-related items to vend. There will be food trucks and non-food vendors too! People are not allowed in the pool with their dogs.
Pets without current vaccination papers WILL NOT BE ADMITTED into the pool area. All dogs must be leashed and handled by an owner 16 and older if not in the pool area. NO EXCEPTIONS!
The cost per pet is $5.
