Another Great Night of Boardgames! - UWS Fred’s Restaurant

Come and chat, eat, and play some games!

Come enjoy a welcoming night of great people, great food, and seriously good games.

Rebecca is hosting again this week with soooo many games to bring and get to the table!

(Please RSVP to let me know you are likely to come, even if it's a "maybe" so I can plan on games to bring.). Also, if you had a game form last week you like and you'd like me to be sure to bring again, let me know!

ALL are welcome, including first-timers and non-gamers. Arrive anytime; if games are mid-play, there may be a short wait—but plenty of good food, games to browse, and people to chat with in the meantime.

We’re always happy to teach games, so no experience needed!

ENTRY IS ALWAYS FREE
(but, we do ask to Please purchase about $15-$20 of food or drinks from our host! ) - other options listed below if that just isn't something you can do! (everyone is welcome!)

• Please support our amazing host, Fred’s Restaurant, who generously shares their event space with us, allowing us to have our own private area each week.

They give us exceptional service and a private space for free, so lets make sure they are taken care of through our food and drink orders & we can keep using this wonderful space with such a kind and generous host!

• If you just can't financially purchase food/drinks on a particular night, that's ok, still come! I just ask that you send me a private message to let me know and that way I can plan ahead. I never want anyone to feel they can't come due to funds.. I 100% get it .. we all live in the city.. it's never easy! :)

• Another option, you can always donate to the group's funds (via Venmo @BarrRec - note the game meetup so I can be sure to separate it) which gets used to support our amazing Fred's staff adding extra tips, or helping out covering on night when not everyone can purchase to support the restaurant by combining the "donations" to order group appetizers for everyone!

• There is a happy hour menu (till 7pm) that is filled with smaller, but still good sized bites and drinks at close to 1/2 price too! they make great cocktails and mocktails as well as the best Mac and cheese and vegetarian options.

if you have specific games you are wanting to take a look at, please shout them out here. We tend to start of with a light group game while people are arriving, and then break out into smaller groups for mid weight games. Our library leans a bit more to the little bit more complex strategy style of games, but we still have a huge range from silly and light all the way to multi hour. and, please feel free to bring your own too!
