Morning Walk at Apex Community Park – Lake Trail

Join us for a casual group walk around the beautiful Lake Trail Loop at Apex Community Park — one of the Triangle's most beloved outdoor gems! Walk around a nice, big lake in a shaded area.

Time to arrive/meet: 10:10 am.
Time to officially start the walk: 10:20 am.

Directions:
Address: 250 Apex Community Park Drive (Apple Maps)
Exact coordinates: 35.75316° N, 78.82306°W

Turn into the entrance of Apex community park. Keep driving straight all the way down to the end. You'll pass through 2 stop signs and continue to follow the signs for Lake Trail. You will see a one-way sign for the final parking area. Park and look for the green and white trail sign (see photo in image). We will meet there, near the brown bear sculpture. When we start the walk, we will be going left, if you wanted to try to catch up.

The Lake Trail loop is a 2-mile paved loop circling a gorgeous 50-acre lake, very flat and easy, accessible walk for all fitness levels. Most people complete it in less than 60 minutes.

  • All paces welcome — this is a social walk, not a race. We can stop at look at the water and notice some wildlife, too. See you out there!
  • The restrooms are being renovated - there are some portable toilets available.
