What we're about
Dogs are migratory animals.
Essential to their being, focused walks alleviate boredom, frustration, and stress. In addition, there are a whole host of behavioral issues that can be addressed with regular nomadic sessions.
This group is intended not to be a canine social, but is instead a structured opportunity for all dogs -- confident and nervous alike, to find understanding and peace within a migratory pack setting.
Walks are steady in pace and single file, with each pack member maintaining a safe and comfortable distance from the next. Dogs do not directly interact, but rather are taught to exist as a working member of the traveling pack. A post-walk rest/meditation further increases the pack bond.
**Please note that not all members of the pack will be other-dog confident/friendly. We encourage all dog parents to respect space and never assume social abilities. One handler per dog. The use of a retractable leash is not allowed. This group follows a very specific structure that doesn't allow for dogs to co-mingle. Our intention is to bring a "job" to the pack in order to meet the biological needs of the canine species.
By tapping into and serving the biologically appropriate needs of the canine species, we succeed in caring for the dog as a whole, mind and body.
