Brisk Sunday Walk at Dogwood Park in Wesley Chapel

Details

We will meet in the parking lot by the restrooms at Dogwood Park in Wesley Chapel, North Carolina. From there, we’ll engage a brisk walk along a mix of concrete and wooded paths.
The route will cover about 1.1 mile loop, four times, with a short break after lap two, totaling roughly one hour. We will maintain a brisk pace of about 14 minutes per mile, with minimal elevation changes. An optional gathering will take place afterward for those interested.
Notable wildlife includes: barn owls, great blue herons, pileated woodpeckers, frogs, red-tailed hawks, and deer.
Park Rules: Walkers should stay to the right or center of the trail. Dogs are welcome if well-behaved, but must stay on the far right side, away from bikers and runners on the left.
Difficulty & Pace: Please ensure you’re able to maintain a brisk pace of 4-5 mph without needing multiple breaks or experiencing shortness of breath. If unsure, please consult with your doctor. This is a brisk walk, not a leisurely stroll.
Parking is easy and obvious. We’ll meet at the parking lot near the restrooms at 9:00 AM and will depart promptly at 9:05 AM. feel free to show up even if you are unable to sign up.
