Details

We will meet in the parking lot by the restrooms at Dogwood Park in Wesley Chapel, North Carolina. From there, we’ll engage a brisk walk along a mix of concrete and wooded paths.
The route will cover about 1.1 mile loop, four times, with a short break after lap two, totaling roughly one hour. We will maintain a brisk pace of about 14 minutes per mile, with minimal elevation changes. An optional gathering will take place afterward for those interested.
Notable wildlife includes: barn owls, great blue herons, pileated woodpeckers, frogs, red-tailed hawks, and deer.
Park Rules: Walkers should stay to the right or center of the trail. Dogs are welcome if well-behaved, but must stay on the far right side, away from bikers and runners on the left.
Difficulty & Pace: Please ensure you’re able to maintain a brisk pace of 4-5 mph without needing multiple breaks or experiencing shortness of breath. If unsure, please consult with your doctor. This is a brisk walk, not a leisurely stroll.
Parking is easy and obvious. We’ll meet at the parking lot near the restrooms at 9:00 AM and will depart promptly at 9:05 AM. feel free to show up even if you are unable to sign up.
