Computer Security & Virtualization Basics

Our meeting will consist of two topics presented by two speakers.

The first speaker will be presented by Dewayne. Dewayne has over 10 years in IT experience and is a U.S. Army veteran. His main specialization is Virtualization which he works full-time as a VMware Engineer possessing his VMware Virtual Certified Professional (VCP).

He will discuss Computer Virtualization technology specifically with VMware. It will detail how a VM is created, how to manage them, and why they're are far more efficient than traditional physical servers. (Perfect introduction for those wanting to pursue a VMware VCP.)

The second speaker Hiram specializes in IT Computer Security and Storage. Hiram is a U.S. military veteran who served in the Air Force for 8 years. He has his CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI).

He will discuss the topic of Computer Security CIA Triad (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability) for those interested in computer security and wanting an introduction to the CISSP certification.

Attendees will receive digital certificates as well as 3 CPE credits towards renewing their IT certifications.
