Unravel the key to your Kubernetes secrets + DevRel Panel

Details
Hi folks!
Welcome to the first in its series, DoK London, we are excited to launch this new initiative the first one will be hosted virtually.
Join myself, Nic Vermande, Principal Developer Advocate at Ondat, and Dominique Top, Solutions Engineer at HashiCorp on Wednesday 16th February at 4 pm (GMT) to Unravel the Key to Your (Kubernetes) Secrets.
It is well known that what happens in Kubernetes should stay in Kubernetes. However, Kubernetes Secrets are not secret by default. It is up to the platform administrators to keep them safe by encrypting them and storing the key in a safe place.
Join this workshop to discover how Trousseau, an open-source project providing a generic and standardized connector to Kubernetes KMS providers, and HashiCorp Vault can secure your Secrets and your data with minimum effort. We’ll even encrypt databases and persistent volumes for more fun! Let’s encrypt all the things!
Join the DOK-London slack channel where we will be troubleshooting live and keeping the conversation going - https://dokcommunity.slack.com, the channel is #dok-london.
The lab is available here: https://play.instruqt.com/ondat/tracks/ondat-trousseau-vault
After the workshop, we’ll also host a panel discussion on What Difference do Communities Make? Our panel participants will include Dominique Top (HashiCorp), Alison Dowdney (Kasten), Lorraine Pocklington (Timescale), and Nic Vermande (Ondat)
The panel will cover:
- How communities have embraced the challenge of the pandemic
- The role of communities when it comes to innovative technologies such as the ones we find in the Data on Kubernetes ecosystem
- How the DevRel world is evolving and its importance in our community
Look forward to seeing you there!
Nic
