Autumn Photo Walk at Glencar Waterfall
Details
About the Event
Join us for a relaxed autumn photo walk around Glencar Waterfall and the surrounding valley. This is a gentle, scenic walk with a mix of woodland, waterfalls, and lakeside views, perfect for photography in soft autumn light.
We’ll meet at the car park at 11:00 am, visit the main waterfall first, then follow the lakeside trail for wider landscape shots. The route is mostly flat and easy underfoot, about 3 to 4 km in total, with plenty of time to stop and take photos.
After the walk, we’ll finish with coffee or tea at the teaSHED Café beside the car park.
Route Overview
- Start at the main car park – short path to the base of Glencar Waterfall.
Good spot for long-exposure shots and close-up details of the falls. - Continue along the forest path – stream, mossy trees, and soft light through the canopy.
Great for depth and leading-line compositions. - Walk along Glencar Lake viewpoint – open landscape, reflections, and distant hills.
Ideal for wide-angle shots and horizon work. - Return to the car park for coffee and a chat at the teaSHED around 2:00 pm.
