### Compass Session Six: The Good Society – How to Live Well Together Beyond Individualism and Tribalism
How can we live well together in an age of growing individualism, cynicism, and moral division? What does a good society look like from a humanist point of view — one that balances freedom with belonging, reason with compassion, and democracy with responsibility?
In this session of the Compass series, we’ll explore three vital themes:
- What we mean by a good society
- The virtues of citizenship — being informed, engaged, and committed to democracy as a humanist ideal
- How to move beyond utopianism and tribalism toward dialogue, realism, and shared human flourishing.
Join us for a reflective and wide-ranging discussion on how humanist values can help us build a society worthy of our best selves — one that restores faith in reason, community, and democracy.
- From Tuesday 23rd September 2025, 6.45-8.45pm, for 8 consecutive Tuesday evenings
- Priority given to those who are able to attend all or most sessions
