What we’re about

Jan Sulaiman: From Prompting to Programming: Kiro and the Future of AI-Native Software Development
Agentic AI is moving from prototypes to production, but most teams struggle with consistency, reliability, and governance. AWS Kiro introduces a new model: spec-driven development for autonomous agents, shifting the focus from prompt hacking to structured, testable, and reusable specs.
In this session, we’ll explore what Kiro is, why it matters, and how it changes the way we design and ship AI-powered systems. Based on hands-on experience from the closed beta, we’ll walk through how Kiro turns specs into executable agents, integrates with AWS services, and helps teams build robust workflows without heavy infrastructure.
We’ll also recap key announcements from AWS re:Invent 2025, with a focus on agentic development, automation, and developer tooling. Attendees will leave with practical insights on how to get started with Kiro, where it fits in their stack, and why this marks a shift in how software is built.

Lakshmi Nair: Zero-Trust Data: Architecting governance across modern data platform with Amazon SageMaker
Building a high-trust, scalable data platform requires embedding governance directly into the architecture, not adding it on as an afterthought. This session introduces the three fundamental planes of any modern data platform - Infrastructure, Data Factory and Product Experience - and demonstrates the critical, unique governance challenges in each.We will show you how Amazon SageMaker accelerates your governance journey by helping you:
- Define roles and responsibilities by implementing effective authorization policies to control who can access and use underlying resources
- Establish stringent data quality checks and automated lineage tracking within the data creation process.
- Enhance discovery with AI by leveraging Generative AI techniques for enriching metadata and making the data products more discoverable
- Share data securely by building robust access control mechanismsWalk away with a practical framework for integrating security, compliance and trust across your entire data platform lifecycle, ensuring every data product is governed and ready for AI/ML adoption.11 attendees
