✨ Wednesday Night at the WAG + Screening of My Winnipeg ✨
Join us for a laid-back evening at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, where we’ll wander through stunning exhibitions, spark great conversations, and soak in a bit of culture - all without spending a dime!
This week, the WAG is screening Guy Maddin's 2007 local classic My Winnipeg. The screening begins at 7:30, so we'll spend some time looking at the art on the upper floor before heading down to the theater and grabbing some seats together.
This is a casual event, so feel free to skip the film and keep exploring the galleries if that’s more your vibe. 😊
The start time is flexible too, although as a heads-up, we will be leaving the front area and heading up to the second floor right at 6 PM. If you arrive after that, you might need to catch up, but we’ll post location updates in the event comments to help you find us.
🎟️ Admission: Free!

My Winnipeg Overview
"Canadian filmmaker, Guy Maddin conducts a personal tour of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the town where he grew up and still lives, in a film he calls a “docu-fantasia. By combining archival footage and interviews, dreamlike camera work and recreated scenes, the filmmaker builds a portrait of Winnipeg that manages to be historical, intimate, surreal, entertaining, and entirely his own."
