For our January meet-up, we will be welcoming two speakers Julio Guzman Compoy and Samson Nwizgube will both be delivering talks around their experience with AI.

Talk One - Agentic Workflows in .NET: Reliable, Clear, Maintainable Patterns (Samson Nwizugbe)

Businesses are increasingly adopting AI-driven systems to automate decisions, coordinate processes, and operate at a scale beyond manual execution. As agentic behaviour is introduced into software, the challenge shifts from capability to control: how to orchestrate intelligent components without sacrificing reliability, clarity, or long-term maintainability.

This talk examines practical orchestration patterns for agentic workflows in the .NET ecosystem, from simple manual coordination with structured outputs to agent-as-tool models, executor-led orchestration, fully agentic workflows, and Durable Task–based approaches. It focuses on the trade-offs each pattern introduces, helping teams design AI-enabled systems that remain understandable, resilient, and aligned with real business needs.

Talk Two - The Brain and the Toolbelt: Scaling Intelligence with AI Agents and Traditional ML (Julio Guzman Compoy)

The Brain and the Toolbelt: Powering AI Agents with Traditional ML
In the rush to adopt LLMs, the specialized precision of traditional machine learning is often overlooked. However, I believe the future of AI isn’t just about larger models; it’s about orchestration. The most robust intelligent systems are those that treat an AI Agent as the "reasoning brain" and traditional ML models as the "specialized toolbelt."

In this talk, we’ll move beyond basic RAG and into the world of Agentic Workflows. I’ll demonstrate how to build hybrid systems that integrate the generative flexibility of LLMs with the surgical accuracy of deterministic ML models. Whether you are optimizing complex supply chains or predicting user behavior, you will leave with a practical framework for building autonomous, goal-driven systems that can think, act, and-most importantly-calculate with enterprise-grade reliability.
