The Windows Bridge for iOS is a Microsoft open-source project that provides an Objective-C development environment for Visual Studio and support for iOS APIs.

In this talk, Mike Irving will provide an overview of the bridge, and walk through installing the tooling, converting an actual iPhone App and running it upon Windows, and discussing pitfalls and problems that may occur along the way.

The bridge is ideal for iOS developers looking to bring their existing Objective-C applications over to the Universal Windows Platform.

Schedule

Intro and welcome 19:00

Speaker 19:05 with a break for pizza at some point

Close 21:00

We then adjourn to a local bar for a drink and a natter - everyone welcome to join us.

-------------

From January we won't be providing beer & soft drinks at the events - this is to make our pizza budget go a bit further and to reduce the logistical hassle of buying boxes of the stuff and lugging it to and from the venue. The coffee shop at Rise sells hot and soft drinks along with a selection of beers (and cakes too).
