[HYBRID!] Easier Open Source with .NET and Roslyn - Steven Pears

Details

This month we're finally back to an In-Person meetup!

This will actually be a hybrid event so you can still join on Zoom, but we'll also be back in Person at the BJSS offices on King Street in Nottingham.

We also welcome back our long standing and wonderful sponsor Cordius, who will be sponsoring the beer and pizza for the event!

Further, we continue our sponsorship with Calyx and JetBrains who are kindly donating prizes!

The Talk: Easier Open Source with .NET and Roslyn
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Taking the time to maintain an open source repo can often be a real commitment - so you want the time you spend on it to be as productive as possible.

In this talk we're going to look at how building and using two features of the Roslyn Compiler, Analyzers and Source Code Generators, can help improve the productivity of both you as a maintainer and that of your users as they contribute and use your libraries (open source or otherwise)

About Steven:
-------------------
Steven has spent years working with .NET in its various forms since the beta arrived on his desk as a set of CDs. An IT career in various industries led him to Nottingham, where during the day he spends his time working as part of a consultancy firm. Outside of work (when not spending time with family or trying to keep fit) he's a .NET MVP and maintains several open source libraries - most notably Alexa.NET and Slack.NetStandard
