Currency on Board
RC does not use AUD, only US Dollars
So, if you don’t want to use your CC, bring US dollars and load your cruise card.
Power Points
You need the EU power adapter and there are multiple various sockets at the desk in the room, but none are AUSSIE.
DUTY FREE
They have 2 types of smokes. Marlboro and Long Beach. Both are 20 per pack, and the smallest purchase is a carton that consists of 10 packs. $90.00 for them, and that’s US dollars.
Alcohol is also available up to 2.25lt per adult. And these prices are well below our cocktails in Australia. All varieties and an extensive range is available.
Snacks / Soft Drinks
Bring your own, as the ship has a poor variety of snacks and chips, but they know how to charge silly amounts. You are permitted to bring up to 12. Cans of loose soft drink on board, but carry that through, don’t pack it with your luggage.
Bringing Alcohol on Board
You can bring one bottle of 750ml of wine/champagne with you, and this can be packed in your luggage.
Toiletries
These items are also extremely limited so try to remember to bring all your toiletries that you need and use.
Phone Reception.
The Internet is expensive. You’re looking at $29.95US per day if purchased in the ship, this allows you to make WIFI calling on iPhones,
Drink Package (Alcohol)
Not Available.
Room service..
This is the best hidden secret. There are no prices because it’s ALL FREE, you only pay a delivery fee of $7.95US,
So, you can order the hamburger and chicken tenders and pay $7,95 all up.
Dining….
No need to dine in the Pig Troff called the windjammer, The main dining in Deck 3 and 4 where we have dinners also have breakfast.
Casino
Yes, they have one of these, and they also only operate in US currency. So if you bring $100 in Aussie dollars, only expect to get $55 in casino chips.
They have daily Texas Hold’em tournaments and a cash game at nighttime. There are only a few table games available
But many pokies. Casino. Operating hours are when the boat is not in Australian Waters and never whilst docked in port.
Nightclub
There is one, it’s the Music Hall. Operates each night, starting from about 11pm and goes to about 3:30am
Smoking
There are a few areas where smoking is allowed. If you have a balcony, you can get away from smoking on it, I wouldn’t recommend doing so if you have an interior room.
Bedding
The beds are extremely comfortable and better than the ones on PnO. There and multiple pillows on the bed and in the storage area, so you have multiple choices.
TV’s
Each room has a 40” TV mounted to the wall
Fridges/Cooler
Each room has one and works well and keeps the drinks cold.
Room - Heating / Cooling
These controls only work if your sliding Balcony door is locked. The system knows when you’re on the balcony or just have the door open for air, and as a result will not OPERATE, unless the door is locked.
Starbucks
There is multiple STARBUCKS around the ship, and the average price is about $5US, but it’s not the nicest, so if you’re an avid coffee drinker, you will be disappointed.
Average Drink Prices
Can of Coke Chilled $3.50US
Wine / Champagne / Beer $9.00US
Cocktails up to $15.00US
