Big Branch Bike (B3) Park Trail Work Day: CCORS Race Prep

Location: B3 Main Parking Lot (Staging area: near the bathhouse)

Event:
Down East Cyclists and Cape Fear SORBA are partnering to host the upcoming CCORS race on Saturday, September 26. To ensure a high-quality and safe race environment, we are meeting for a critical trail maintenance day. We will deploy crews to clear debris, optimize sightlines, and finalize tread repairs across the designated race route (Phase 1).

Timeline:

• 8am: Pre-brief fuel (Coffee and donuts provided by DEC).
• 8:10am: Safety brief and sector assignments at the bathhouse.
• 8:15am: Step off to assigned trail sections.
• 12pm: Secure tools and conclude event.

Equipment to bring:

• Sturdy boots and heavy-duty work gloves.
• Insect repellent and sunscreen.
• Personal trail tools (loppers, hard rakes, or McLeods) if you own them.
• Note: DEC will provide bottled water for all crews throughout the duration of the event.
