About us

We are not a convention or a fan club. We are a small group of neighbors who meet monthly to share what we love about East Asian culture quietly, warmly, without fanfare. We host monthly dinners where we cook simple Japanese or Korean dishes together, watch one classic K drama or anime episode and talk about it, and host occasional language swaps over tea. You might be the kind of person who reads Murakami with chopsticks in ramen, or just watched your first Korean drama and want to talk about it. Our events rotate formats so no two gatherings feel the same. At your first event, you’ll walk in, find a seat, and notice how little pressure there is to perform. Beginners welcome, always. We meet because we like the people, not just the topics. Over time, repeat attendance turns this into your people.

β€’ We meet monthly for food centered cultural events
β€’ You join the conversation when you’re ready
β€’ Friends form slowly, through shared moments, not forced icebreakers

We keep it simple. Come once, or come every time. Easy to join. Worth your time.
