[Online] Remote User Research
Details
While social distancing or working from home full time, many of us have seen the way we work impacted in various ways. For those of us in UX, one major impact is the way that we facilitate user research.
For this meetup, we’ll discuss all aspects of remote user research including strategies for remote facilitation, tools that can help make you more successful, and how to include your team during the research. We’ll even break out into smaller groups for some hands on practice! We will mostly focus on the Think Aloud Usability Study format of research, but will also touch briefly on some other remote research methods.
About the Speaker:
Matt Lavoie will be facilitating this month. Many of you know him as an organizer of this meetup or as the guy with the mustache, but over the years he has also conducted hundreds of remote research sessions with users in healthcare, finance, law enforcement, government, and, most recently, aerospace industries. Matt believes that user research is absolutely essential for effective UX design, and building deep understanding and compassion for the people our designs serve.
