Diary Studies for UX Research

Details

Any context we can gain about our users' attitudes, behaviors, and needs can help us design better experiences. But what if the problems we're trying to solve for aren't based on a specific point in time?

At our July meetup, Minseon Miller will be talking about diary studies. She'll explain what this UX research method is, how to plan for it, what information can be expected, and how to conduct a diary study.

Along the way, she'll share insights about how design research works in enterprise-level organizations, the benefits of a centralized design org, and the challenges of conducting research in compliance-heavy industries.

About the speaker:
Minseon J Miller lives in Charlotte, NC where she works as a Sr. UX Designer and Researcher at USAA. Minseon is currently working on a data-driven user archetype project for mortgage products and regularly facilitates human-centered design workshops.
