Vinay Pai (https://www.linkedin.com/in/vinaypainy)is currently CTO at Monaeo (https://monaeo.com/), a location data analytics company that helps Fortune 1000 companies make smarter decisions by visualizing and analyzing their travel patterns in real time. Monaeo's platform helps businesses save money and proactively manage travel-related issues such as tax, compliance and immigration.
Vinay leads the Monaeo engineering team which leverages a variety of technologies like Go, Rails, and Angular.js to deliver real-time analytics of large datasets in an attractive and responsive dashboard.
Before joining Monaeo, Vinay improved the lives of millions of lonely singles as CTO of OkCupid, where he managed a team of engineers as the website's traffic grew 10x over a three years. Vinay is also the founder of two startups, MuCash and DailyGiver. Vinay holds a B.E. in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
When not chasing his new puppy, Vinay enjoys breaking things and rebuilding them, running and cycling.
