Gabe Rives-Corbett (https://www.linkedin.com/in/grivescorbett) was the first employee at untapt (https://www.untapt.com/), where he is working on building a machine intelligence solution to technology hiring.
Gabe spends most of his time at untapt trying to give computers a semantic understanding of resumes and other candidate data, and then have them use that knowledge to predict the best jobs for those candidates. Techniques used include predictive modeling, named entity recognition, probabilistic topic modeling and more. He’s also deeply involved in the tech stack which is python/flask and angularjs, as well as product development and user acquisition.
Gabe graduated from NYU and joined untapt after a brief career in the theater. He’s always excited to talk about untapt, as well as sailing, diving and strategies for Settlers of Catan.
