Down Under Divers Club (DUDC) is the largest and longest running independent scuba club in North Carolina, and supports all local dive shops. The DUDC has a monthly meeting at Dave & Busters in Cary, with topics on some aspect of diving, travel, safety or our water environment. You do not have to be a member to come!

For our April meeting we have Lisette Keus joining us from Lionfish Caribbean—where vibrant flavors and bold fashion meet the beauty of the ocean! Lisette will take us on a captivating Lionfish journey: why she is passionate about them, how she catches them, and what makes this species such a unique resource.

Lisette will share exciting footage showcasing the process of catching Lionfish, highlighting essential safety practices for diving and hunting in the wild. Then she will share stunning images of the incredible creations she makes from Lionfish—both in the kitchen and in the world of fashion. From exquisite jewelry to mouthwatering dishes, you’ll see just how versatile her talents can be! Lisette will also do a cleaning demonstration, showcasing the skill and technique required to handle this species.

Join us on April 8th at Dave & Buster’s in Cary. We’ll gather starting at 6:30 PM so you have time to order food, drinks, and mingle with fellow divers. The meeting will officially begin at 7:15 PM with announcements, followed by the presentation from our guest speaker. We look forward to seeing you in person! If you can’t attend, don’t worry—you can still participate via Teams and be part of the action.
