I'll discuss the challenges I faced, the lessons learned, and the best practices that helped streamline our cloud operations. Microsoft Fabric & Data Mesh: beyond the buzz words! - Barry Smart (Director of Data & AI at endjin)
Barry Smart is Director of Data & AI at endjin, a UK remote-first technology consultancy. Building on his experience in roles as a Software Engineer, Enterprise Architect, and CTO he will share practical insights from the front lines implementing cloud native, modern data architectures.
Microsoft Fabric & Data Mesh: beyond the buzz words! How does Microsoft Fabric align with Zhamak Dehghani's influential Data Mesh principles? Barry will aim to cut through the marketing to provide practical insights into both Microsoft Fabric and Data Mesh.
Hands-on demo: how open source tools can help solve real-world data challenges. Barry will provide a practical example of how a "data contract" (a key component of the Data Mesh principle "data as a product") can be defined and enforced using open source Python packages.
Join us for a practical session that bridges theory, the latest technologies and architecture patterns with concrete examples you can apply in your own organization.
