Weekly Buddhist Meditation Service, Topic: Hope

Details
This week, we'll talk about hope from the perspective of the teachings of the Buddha. At the risk of over-generalizing it, hope tends to be a "looking forward", which could seem at odds with the Buddhist notion of living fully in the present (regardless of what that "present" may bring). This week, we'll explore hope from an angle that seeks to bridge this divide.
One quick admin note: These days, we tend to regularly have between 12-20 folks join us each week, many of whom do not RSVP here (so please don't let low RSVP numbers influence whether or not you're thinking of coming . . . just come!)
Join members the Dragonfly Sangha each Monday evening at 6:30pm in the undercroft of Mount Calvary Episcopal Church for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.
Each service includes a brief liturgy and talk based on the teachings of the Buddha, followed by an offering of incense and meditation.
Open to all faiths and backgrounds, join us as we come together in celebration of inner peace, loving-kindness, joy, and compassion.

Every week on Monday until December 28, 2025
