Weekly Buddhist Meditation Service, Topic: Karma

Details
This week, we'll explore the Buddhist idea of karma through a teaching of the Buddha known as "the five remembrances." While karma is often popularly imagined as a sort of "metaphysical justice", it is traditionally much simpler than that (but ultimately more powerful). We'll use the five remembrances as both a vehicle to humbly understand the reality of our humanity, and a reminder of the importance each of us plays in shaping our own experiences as well as the world around us.
Join members the Dragonfly Sangha each Monday evening at 6:30pm in the undercroft of Mount Calvary Episcopal Church for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.
Each service includes a brief liturgy and talk based on the teachings of the Buddha, followed by an offering of incense and meditation.
Open to all faiths and backgrounds, join us as we come together in celebration of inner peace, loving-kindness, joy, and compassion.

Every week on Monday until December 28, 2025
