Weekly Buddhist Meditation Service, The Paramita (Perfection) of Integrity
Details
This week, we'll explore morality, ethics, and integrity from the Buddhist perspective. Why is it important to act with honor? How do I know if my speech and actions are morally right? What do I do if I learn that they aren't? Buddhist philosophy suggests that there are six paramitas—or perfections—of an awakened being: generosity, patience, virtue, discipline, focus, and wisdom. This week, we'll explore virtue.
FYI: Most attendees don't RSVP, but we typically have between 10 and 20 attendees. I hope you'll join us, and I hope that it is helpful.
Join members the Dragonfly Sangha each Monday evening at 6:30pm in the undercroft of Mount Calvary Episcopal Church for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.
Each service includes a brief liturgy and talk based on the teachings of the Buddha, followed by an offering of incense and meditation.
