David is helped by the Lord to overcome a HUGE warrior who had been defiant before God. David's confidence in the Lord is shown over and over again. And God aids David so that he begins to excel and become esteemed among the people of Israel. This quickly causes jealousy with king Saul and leads to hostilities and plots to bring David down. But God aids David and he will eventually overcome. David's journey is long and trying. We can learn much from his life. Please join us as we read and discuss the life of David.
