Online Bible Study - 2 Kings 5 - 7
Details
These chapters record some powerful acts of God and provide some wonderful comparisons to what God offers us today. First, Naaman is healed from a terminal disease called leprosy WHEN he submits to the command from God. We can see a parallel when someone submit to the command to be baptized today to receive forgiveness from their sins. Second, the capitol of Israel is placed under siege by Syria. A primary and deadly weapon during a siege is starvation. We can see a parallel with this and the devastation sin brings to people's lives. But God causes the army of Syria to hear the sound of an army coming and they flee, leaving all their stuff behind. So outside the city where death is, lies a camp full of food and possessions. Here we have a parallel to the gospel (good news). If the people are told, they can go out and be free from the city where death now is. Powerful parallels. Please join us as we read the scriptures together and discuss God's word.
