Welcome to Drawfest Auckland! We are an art community focused on bringing artists together to make new friends, share projects, learn new skills. We have monthly meet ups, and help provide a stepping stone platform for new artists wishing to get into the convention circuit.
Our current meet ups are:-
- Drawfest Auckland- Last Sunday of the month
This is a general art meet up for all art types, skill levels and ages. - Drawfest Comics- Second Sunday of the month
This is a meet up targeting specifically comic / zine artists, and is held at the beautiful Te Manawa Library in Westgate.
Drawfest is an LGBT friendly community, with many LGBT members, and members of the neuro-divergent community. We aim to support all members the best we can- please advise if there are any ways we can be better accommodating for your needs :)
Auckland Drawfest hold a stall at Auckland Armageddon once a year (October) to help new artists on the scene to get a stepping stone into the convention scene and see how well they sell. We also have planned outtings, and online meet ups to hang out and get to know each other.

We have monthly meet ups for all art style, and skill levels once a month on the last Sunday of the month, so we can catch up on what projects everyone is working on, share knowledge, and a shared enthusiasm for creativity!
Please feel free to bring your projects, and enjoy a cup of tea / coffee/ hot coco etc... and do some art :)
Please bring art supplies if you wish to create- Mezze is a bar / café with a Mediterranean theme, and amazing food and drinks.
Please note- This is not a BYO food and drinks event. If you wish to bring your own food, you will need to consume it outside. Mezze has a robust menu that caters for many dietary requirements.

Accessibility- This location is accessible to wheel chairs. There is a entrance to a corridor that connects with Mezze bar on High street. The side walk to the door is reasonably flat, and the door accommodates most wheel chairs- XL chairs won't fit through this door.
- Note- I am making it a priority to find a permanent location that has better facilities for accessible members. Please stay tuned!
