Why this group?
-Everyone can learn to draw
-You teach yourself through practice but practicing without under-
standing what and why is not productive
- Good gesture drawing is not drawing what you see but conveying
what you understand and the "spirit" of the pose.
-Not knowing where "you are going" is frustrating, Just like trying to
find an unfamiliar place without a map or landmarks.
-Drawing a live nude model is an exhilarating, life affirming activity and
capturing the "essence" of the pose is extraordinarily satisfying.
This program presents the Basic Elements of "Life Drawing" for those who say they can't draw as well as those who want to refresh their knowledge and review the principles, The goal of this 4 week program is to complement our ongoing "Life Model" drawing group, "The Sleep of Reason". and to start you on the path to produce exciting and interesting drawings.
The group meets in a relaxed, laid back setting and drinks are available for purchase. Payment is by donation,
