Join us for our weekly Instructed Drawing Class, which focuses on drawing techniques taught by Simon Levenson.

Using various still lives, students will learn about composition, line weight, negative and positive space, shading, mark-making, including hatching, proportion, etc… (Not every topic is taught in every class, but these are the focus of our sessions.)

The class begins by examining artists' works and discussing their techniques, followed by a short instructor demonstration. With that inspiration in mind, we will draw for about 2 hours.

We share our work at the end of class (if you wish to) and discuss what we got right and how we can improve going forward.

Please bring a pad up to 18×24, a 2H, HB, and 4B pencil, and an eraser. Materials: If you are looking for a good pencil set to bring we recommend these and a good drawing pad like this one.

He has also written and sold several screenplays.

Looking forward to seeing you!
