journey from Singapore to Kazakhstan. 7 countries without flying.
Let’s hear her story of how she traveled across Central Asia.
I first passed through Kyrgyzstan for 19 days as part of that journey. Then
I went back. For a whole month.
Kyrgyzstan is incredible country but it’s not easy to travel alone without a
guide. The roads are remote, logistics are hard, I have taken the wrong
bus, found cool hidden spots, learned what’s worth your time and what
isn’t.
I'm a fellow traveller who fell in love with this place and wants to share it
with the right people. All logistics are handled by Dream Valley

Tentative Itinerary
Dream Valley Destination x Munmunich Kyrgyzstan Group Trip – 8 Days
Day 1 – Arrival in Bishkek → City Tour
Distance: ~30 km | Travel Time: ~40 mins
Meet at Manas Airport and transfer to hotel. Short city tour including Ala-Too Square, Oak Park, and Soviet-era streets. Welcome dinner with traditional Kyrgyz cuisine (horse meat & horse milk).

Day 2 – Bishkek → Kok Moinok Canyon → Song-Kul Lake
Distance: ~320 km | Travel Time: ~6–7 hrs
Drive through scenic mountain landscapes to the dramatic Kok Moinok Canyons for a short exploration walk. Continue towards the breathtaking alpine Song-Kul Lake, located at over 3,000 meters. Arrive at your traditional yurt camp, relax by the lake, and enjoy a peaceful dinner under the star-filled sky.

Stay: Yurt Camp at Song-Kul Lake
Day 3 – Song-Kul Lake → Kajisay (Issyk-Kul South Shore)
Distance: ~280 km | Travel Time: ~5–6 hrs
Start your day with a unique horseback riding experience across vast alpine meadows. Visit a local nomadic family to learn traditional cooking (including boorsok). En route, explore a yurt-making workshop and witness eagle hunting demonstrations at Jaychy pasture. Continue your scenic drive to Kajisay on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

Day 4 – Kajisay → Skazka Canyon → Barskoon → Jety-Oguz → Karakol
Distance: ~150 km | Travel Time: ~4–5 hrs
Explore the colorful formations of Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon with a short hike. Continue to the scenic Barskoon Waterfalls surrounded by pine forests. Stop at the iconic red rock formations of Jety-Oguz before reaching Karakol. Enjoy a local dinner in town.

Day 5 – Karakol → Altyn-Arashan → Karakol
Distance: ~40 km (one way) | Travel Time: ~2–3 hrs (one way, off-road)
Experience an adventurous ride in a Russian military truck to the stunning Altyn-Arashan valley. Enjoy a scenic hike through alpine landscapes and relax in natural hot springs surrounded by mountains. Return to Karakol in the evening.

Day 6 – Karakol → Kyrchyn → Grigorievka Gorge → Chon-Kemin
Distance: ~260 km | Travel Time: ~5–6 hrs
Drive along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul with stops at Kyrchyn and Grigorievka gorges. Enjoy light hikes through lush valleys and visit a small alpine lake. Next stop at Cholpon-Ata rock petroglyphs. Continue to the peaceful Chon-Kemin Valley, where you can unwind in nature and enjoy a bonfire evening.

Day 7 – Chon-Kemin → Burana Tower → Bishkek
Distance: ~150 km | Travel Time: ~3–4 hrs
Start your day with a short panoramic hike in Chon-Kemin Valley. After lunch, drive back to Bishkek with a stop at the historic Burana Tower, an ancient Silk Road minaret. Arrive in the capital for your farewell dinner.

Day 8 – Departure
Distance: ~30 km | Travel Time: ~40 mins
Enjoy your final breakfast together. Optional visit to Osh Bazaar for last-minute shopping before your airport transfer for departure.
