About us
Dreamers & Builders is for people who are building, creating, developing something on their own, who want to meet others on the same journey.
Solo founders. Developers. Freelancers finding their footing. People quitting stable jobs to try something new. Artists, writers, creators. People who have an idea and haven't started yet, and people deep in the middle of it wondering if they're doing it right.
If you're chasing something and most days you're chasing it alone, this group is for you.
Why we exist:
Working on your own is hard. You hit doubts, fears, limiting beliefs, roadblocks, and there's often nobody around you who actually gets it. Podcasts and books help, but they're not the same as sitting across from a real person who's in the same boat. Talking things out with people who understand pulls you out of your head, gives you perspective, and reminds you you're not the only one wrestling with this.
How we're different:
How many events have you been to where there was a presentation and a chance to mingle, yet you found it almost impossible to actually meet anyone? Most people were already in their groups or with friends, and it felt forced and awkward to just walk up and say hello. Dreamers & Builders is the opposite. We are a zero-pressure environment where you will easily meet other people like you and have real, honest conversations, without it being forced, fake, or flashy.
What we do:
We meet in person, in small groups, and we talk honestly about what we're actually working on and what we're stuck on. At each meetup, everyone shares briefly what they're building and one thing they're wrestling with. There's also no pressure to share in-front of everyone. From there the conversation opens up naturally and either remains as one group conversation, or breaks into smaller groups.
The one ground rule:
Come open and be honest. Share your struggles, and if you think you can help someone, share your wisdom.
Who you'll meet:
Other solo builders and founders. People mid-transition. Developers and creators shipping things on the side or full-time. People a few steps ahead of you, people a few steps behind, and people right where you are. Nobody here has all the answers — the value is in the honest conversation, not in expertise.
Where and when:
For now events happen in Zagreb, in cafés, parks and small venues where real conversation is possible. Free to attend. If you're not in Zagreb or aren't available for a particular event, join anyway and we'll share what's coming up.
