What we’re about

WHAT IS LIVING LIBERALLY?

Living Liberally (formerly Drinking Liberally) is a national network of progressive social clubs. Since 2003, it's provided liberals a way to wed their social and political lives, make friends, dream and scheme, get more involved locally, and have fun along the way. It's an outgrowth of the belief that our political identity should be part of our regular lives--when we gather, socialize, learn, love, and live. It creates easy onramps to progressive political action (including connecting people to online communities like Castle Rock and Parker Progessives, as well as real-world involvement through Douglas County Democrats and Indivisible). The more we're connected, the easier and stronger we'll be working together.

WHAT ARE THE PLANS?

Initially, four local gatherings are planned that will meet on a regular schedule: Drinking Liberally happy hours/coffees, Eating Liberally group meals, Reading Liberally book club, and Laughing Liberally comedy shows. We'll be phasing these in and trying to settle into a cadence while looking for some help from others to make these happen. And, we'll remain open to other Living Liberally pursuits as one-offs or that group members suggest like--Screening Liberally (movie nights), Hiking Liberally, etc.

WHAT CAN I DO TO HERE ABOUT PLANS AND PARTICIPATE?

We will have a page on Facebook, but Meetup will remain our primary hub for scheduling events and getting RSVPs. For now, stay tuned, drop a note if you're excited about the relaunch (okay, curious will do too!), and feel free to mention it to any similarly minded friends who may also be interested.

Eating Liberally generally meets on 1st & 3rd Mondays at 5:45 PM.
Drinking Liberally generally meets on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays at 5:00 PM.
