Financial Planning Following An Election

Details
The media keeps asking the wrong question. They're wondering what will happen to the stock market.
The question we should be asking is, "what financial planning strategies should I consider if [Insert Candidate] wins?"
Why is this such a better question you may be wondering?
-We can actually control these strategies, while we have no control over what the stock market does.
-The candidates have very different agendas, especially in regard to taxes. Would you rather try and eek out another 1% on your investments, or take advantage of ideas that could save you 30%?
-An imposed deadline of December 31st means we need to make sure we have a strategy in place ASAP.
