Hi all, parking is included in the ticket price and is 1/2km along the N51 Navan direction, past Slane Castle. It will be well signposted both Saturday & Sunday.

• Viking Long Ships on the River bring warriors.

What's more, sailors from the Vikings TV Series will tell you about their adventures.

Boyne Valley Viking Experience will be the largest historical re-enactment festival in Ireland in 2024. More than 200 armoured, full contact warriors will take to the battlefield to create a spectacle never seen before in Ireland.

Viking families and warriors will be camped in an authentic tented village below the Castle.

Demonstrations throughout the day will be by crafts people using medieval tools and ancient skills and will include, woodworking, pottery, weaving, jewellery making, birds of prey by Raven Haven Aviary and Rune Readings by a shaman – and much more.

Visitors to the camp can try archery and axe-throwing and hear Skalds tell Viking sagas, participate in childrens treasure hunts, and see fierce warriors do battle. There is something for all the family. Ticket price includes car parking.

There are timed activities also throught the day which can be found on the site.
